Last Post (before labor....)

I prefer going into labor naturally. I prefer allowing the baby to come out on her own. I prefer nothing to try to "trigger" labor unless it's a contraction. I prefer the most safest, natural way for my baby to be born. I don't prefer these things to try to prove a point or be mean or anything like that. I just prefer naturally because as a parent that's what Jon and I hope for... I pray continually for my baby and body that it will naturally bring my baby to my arms... I pray my baby is healthy. Today I had an appointment.  I am exactly 41 weeks along in this pregnancy.  However that's based off of earthly things.  Seriously, really.  I don't know exactly when I conceived or anything like that.  However medically I am told I am 41 weeks along.  Anyways, moving on.... I was given a non-stress test.  For those of you who don't know what that is...it monitors the baby's heartbeat and my contractions.  Whenever I feel her move I have to p...

{Stuff} from September

Image
September was kind of an all around crazy month!  It's pretty much a blur looking back.  It's not quite over yet, but because I am past my due date (9/25) let's just say it's pretty much done. ;P  It's close enough, right?  Sorry, it's quite long and I got into details.  So you are warned ahead of time. Because we were without internet the whole month (unless I traveled somewhere) I didn't keep up on the blog.  So now is your chance to hear all the stuff we completed/accomplished/dealt with in September!  Some things were more enjoyable than others.  The best way to not forget anything is to go week-by-week. To help me not forget any details I have my handy dandy (oh boy blue's clues) planner and my pregnancy journal.  I love my planner and so sad to see 2012 soon to end, because I will have to find one JUST as good as this one.  It's not super tiny or anything but it's handy because right inside the cover has a small section fit for l...

Wi-Fi how I miss you....

Jon and I moved to Cedar Rapids and never bought internet.  Why?  Because my hubby is a genius!  He found someone who was using their internet without a password.  So Jon hooked us up with their internet and we were rewarded with the blessings.  At that time it was wonderful.  We were still paying for two apartments and had one income. However for the past two and a half weeks we are with out internet.  Why?  Because those "wonderful mystery people" that didn't secure their internet has either moved or their internet simply isn't working anymore.  How unfortunate!  So I make trips about once a week to the library, Jon's work place, or Panera to check up on email, Facebook, and well now I finally got a chance to update my blog!  Sorry everyone! There is something else that has kept us busy lately, that internet hasn't been too much of a need.  (However you realize how pointless a computer is without having internet.  Hu...

Reveal of Baby Kaisand's gender!

Image
Remember this post ?  We had a reveal party for our family to let them know the gender of Baby Kaisand.  Now my hubby has allowed me to share with everyone what we are expecting!! :) So let me do it in a few pictures for some fun.... :) At the reveal party we had one cupcake that had a certain color of sprinkles inside of it.  It was fun to watch everyone take a bite and look at one another to see if anyone knew the answer.... "We think it's a boy!" "We're guessing girl!" And what will Baby Kaisand be.... (My hubby is so excited!) My sister, Melissa, had the cupcake!  What color do you see?? Baby Kaisand is going to be a GIRL !!! :D  And we are so excited to finally meet her! :)  So glad I can finally say that!  Yeah, now I can say SHE and HER and everything else! :)  Because Mary is going to have a daughter! Sorry, but the name is kept secret...however some of you already know her first name.  I've shared it befor...

Opening up my heart {guilt}

Image
Something is always pulling at my heart and I don't know why this is such a struggle for me.  I'm getting really open with all of you with this post, so be prepared.  If you don't want to hear everything Mary is thinking then you might want to just stop reading now.  However I have fully decided to share with you everything and in the end there is so much rejoicing!! Okay, for the rest of you crazy people who like to know what I'm thinking and decided to keep reading (other than my hubby who has no choice). :P   I have always put guilt on myself based off of what I know and what I should be (doing) .  I write myself a "to do" list to make myself feel better , but all it does it help my mind get organized.  Which is sort of a step to help me out.  If you know me at all I'm a list and follow a routine sort of gal.  I like to know what to expect and get shaken when things happen and my plans get changed. I like to know what to expect, what can I ...

Cinnamon Biscuits

This baby REALLY loves anything from the bakery.  However that's just not going to be able to happen all the time!  But if you have any donuts let me know, I'll be right over! :) Cookies, brownies, coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, donuts, muffins, bagels.... mmmm it all just sounds SO good! :) I've been craving cinnamon rolls and donuts for many weeks now and I do all I can to walk past the donuts when I run to the grocery store.  However I do have a recipe from middle school Home Ec class.  Cinnamon Biscuits!  Yumm! :) Just buy one of those processed, good to the last bite, flaky biscuits from the fridge aisle.  Place them on a baking sheet. In a bowl melt 1/2 stick of butter and add 1/3 cup of brown sugar and a teaspoon of cinnamon.  With a spoon poor the yummy mixture on the biscuits.  It is good for some of it to slide down on the sides for extra yummyness.  Put in oven for 8-10 minutes on 425 degrees. Enjoy! They have a similar ta...
