What would you do?

i hold her in my arms.


i pray nothing will ever harm her.

nothing.


i do everything i can, to give her what she needs.


i know her cries, whimpers, and noises.


i know her favorite ways of being comforted.



but I don't know what I would do without her.


and as a parent, thinking of being without her makes me want to fall apart.


But that's what our Father did.


He gave us HIS SON so we could live.

So I could hold my daughter.


and that we would be delivered.

and you too.

Bathroom Remodeling & stufffff

Back in June 2013 when we bought the house we knew we were going to fix up the bathroom.  It didn't come with a shower, just a tub.  However we had to take down some tile to make that happen.  There wasn't the proper drywall surrounding the tub to prevent water damage.  Plus there was a window RIGHT in the middle of the exterior wall so we couldn't just easily put a shower in.  As time went on and washing paint brushes in that bathroom (who cares if we get paint in there?) Jon started to notice a leak.  So we stopped using that sink and figured there was more remodeling to do.  At that point we said....all or nothing. Issues in the bathroom/stuff that wasn't a big deal but wanted to change to make it our own: 1. No shower 2. Leaking sink faucet onto pipes. 3. Copper pipes (updated plumbing needed!) 4. I was raised by a strict purity culture, and my father is a narcissistic sex addict

  I would like to imagine life without hidden secrets or agendas.  If my desires could be brought to life my childhood would have been completely different.   ~~~~~ Until recently, I had never heard of the term "purity culture."  When I learned more about it, everything began to come clear to me.  The harsh feelings of betrayal stood out in my life countless times upon investing in space to process all the areas purity culture has entered into my way of thinking.  Purity culture is gender expectations based on a strict stereotype.  Men are expected to be strong, "masculine" leaders of the household, church, and society.  Women are expected to support them -- to be pretty, "feminine," sweet, supportive wives and mothers.  Before I go on into more detail, I can't help but notice things from that stereotype that has definite red flags.  Never once did it mention men are to be fathers, but it surely intended on making clear to state abo...
