Here's a list of 25 things you may or may not have have known about Jon and Mary!

ONE
If Jon could own any car he would want a Porsche, while Mary would rather have a SUV with plenty of space for traveling with around the three children she would like to have. :)  Otherwise she would pick a purple intrepid.

TWO
Jon loves sleeping with the fan on his face to keep himself cool.  Mary would rather have a ceiling fan on low with a bunch of covers on.

THREE
Jon's favorite fruit is a ripe peach or a good banana, while Mary loves watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, pineapple and peaches.

FOUR
Mary loves chocolate with her strawberries, while Jon would rather just have them plain.

FIVE
Jon loves watching the history channel and got Mary addicted to checking CNN updates on their website.

SIX
Mary can't go to bed without wearing socks no matter what.

SEVEN
Jon would rather have you shop for him, and Mary loves to shop!

EIGHT
Jon and Mary are both savers.

NINE
Jon first spotted Mary at Johnston Evangelical Free Church in the singles Sunday School class, while Mary noticed there were a few new guys in the class. :)

TEN
Jon said, "I love you" first, and it was on the telephone.

ELEVEN
Before married, Jon and Mary used to go on dates in Ankeny after Mary got off work on Tuesdays.

TWELVE
Mary sometimes steers the car while Jon is driving.

THIRTEEN
Mary's favorite sport is football (and ultimate football).  Jon loves soccer and tennis.

FOURTEEN
Jon and Mary both love taking walks outdoors, and they usually find themselves going to parks.

FIFTEEN
Jon kills all the bugs.  If Jon is not home the trusty vacuum does the trick!

SIXTEEN
Someday Jon wants to go to Germany.  

SEVENTEEN
Mary wants to go on every roller coaster in the United States.

EIGHTEEN
Jon and Mary are saving up to put a theater room in their own house someday.

NINETEEN
Jon promised Mary he would take her to Disney World someday. :)

TWENTY
Jon and Mary are reading through the Bible together.

TWENTY ONE
Mary has never gone fishing before.

TWENTY TWO
Jon and Mary are both not morning people.  If you want to call us then try after dinner time.  We'll be more talkative then.

TWENTY THREE
This number is the lucky number.  I know I know, we don't believe in luck.  I should just say it's our special number. :)

TWENTY FOUR
We both love being an aunt/uncle. 

TWENTY FIVE
Mary is a system-minded, think ahead person while Jon is a here and now kinda guy.  It's a good match!

Every Voice Matters

  I was raised in a household where my voice wasn't heard.  My opinions didn't matter, and my questions were not respected.  The space around me was filled with chaos and noise that didn't make sense to me.  I was surrounded by dictatorship in my own home.  I had dominate people directing me and pushing me to do what they wanted me to do.  Meanwhile a few of us sitting back in agony and confusion of why this was able to occur.  This led to my silence, social anxiety, and self doubt.  The voice inside my head never stops.  It takes on overwhelming pressure to make decisions.  It's confusing when I make a boundary.  Growing up the boundaries were constantly broken, and yet I had no clue what was happening.  Especially because of the fact I didn't know boundaries existed.  The voice inside my head wanted to scream and run and yet I had nothing to say that would make them listen. Blog Party! :)

Through Facebook I have found some more lovely blogs that I love to browse! :)  The ones with stories about their kiddos are fun and inspiring.  I also enjoy reading recipes and I'm thankful for those people out there showing me what to do in the kitchen!  I'm newly married (June 12, 2010) and figuring this all out.  I never enjoyed being in the kitchen that much growing up.  I was in charge of washing dishes, and looking at all those dishes being used........so I never spent a lot of time learning how to do things.  Now I regret it daily. But back to the Blog Party!  I'm a little late but now I'm healthy enough to answer the questions!! To start off, here's a little bit about myself.  I turn 23 on May 5th.  I share a birthday with my big sister and she will be thankful if I don't say how old she is turning (shh! we're seven years apart).  I posted not that long ago a list of 100 random things about me, so go read that if you're desperately wondering.
